How tiling work breaks generic timesheet software
- Two or three jobs in a day, so a single daily clock-on/clock-off doesn't describe anything useful.

What that means in practice
Structivo doesn't require a roster. A worker turns up, clocks on against a site, clocks off, and gets paid for what they worked. If you'd rather set scheduled hours you can, and that switches on start and finish reminders — but the default assumes the day is what the day turns out to be.
Adding a job site takes about a minute: address, geofence, done. Archiving one when the job's finished takes a click and frees the slot against your plan.
Tickets and white cards
Every worker profile holds their licences and tickets with expiry dates, and warns you before they lapse. Emergency contacts and pay rates sit on the same profile. When a builder asks who's on their site and whether their cards are current, the answer is on a screen instead of in a filing cabinet.
What it doesn't do
No quoting, no measure-ups, no invoicing, no job costing against a fixed-price bathroom. Structivo covers the crew — who worked where, for how long, and what that comes to. If you need quoting and invoicing you'll be running something alongside it.

Common questions
Can a worker clock on at more than one site in a day?
Yes. Structivo allows one open shift at a time, so a worker clocks off the first site and clocks on at the next — each shift is recorded separately against its own job site and geofence. What it won't let them do is be clocked on at two sites at once.
Does it handle subcontractors on ABNs?
It records their hours the same way it records an employee's — clock-ons, flagged exceptions, approvals and exports — and you set their rate on their profile. It does not validate ABNs, generate RCTIs, or distinguish contractor from employee for tax purposes. That stays with your bookkeeper.
I've only got three blokes. Is this overkill?
Probably not, but you'd know better than me. The threshold is usually whether you can still hold the week in your head. Two workers on one site, you can. Three across two sites with one running late, you can't, and that's when the Friday starts costing you.
Is it only for tilers?
No — it's built for Australian construction crews generally. Tiling is just the trade it was built inside, which is why the assumptions fit.
